Mommy Time - Just Us Girls

Sometimes we just need a break from being a mommy and just enjoy a conversation with our girlfriends about things that we can never say in front of our children, or husbands. Get your husband or someone else to babysit and call up your girlfriends and have a fun girls-only day or night. It can be incredibly fun and relaxing and can make you feel younger and fresh! It's also the perfect opportunity to hang out with your childless friends that you have not seen in a long time. Go ahead and do the girliest things possible, like beauty makeovers, watching a chick-flick, clothes swapping, or just have a girl talk about your in laws or your husbands' annoying habits over a glass of wine.

Here are some ideas for the perfect girls day or night whether you decide to go out or stay in:

STAY IN:
1. Have a beauty evening. Give each other a manicure and pedicure or make your own homemade face masks and scrubs.
2. Have a beauty makeover from hair, face, to wardrobes
3. Make popcorns and rent the DVDs of your favorite movies or TV shows like Sex and The City or Grey's Anatomy
4. Host a cooking class
5. Have a chocolate fondue night
6. Have friends over for lunch or an evening tea
7. Host a lingerie party
8. Start a book club
9. Have a slumber party and take out some board games. Be as silly as you want without worrying about being a good role model for your kids
10. Host a dessert swapping night, no guilt allowed
11. Have a karaoke night
12. Want to feel like a rock star? Get your kids playstation or XBox out and play the Rockband or Guitar Hero. Feel free to roll over on the floor!
13. Host a scrapbooking party

GO OUT:
1. Go shopping
2. Take a dancing lesson
3. Head to your favorite bakery or coffee shop with your girlfriends and talk for hours
4. Go to a movie
5. Go to a day spa
6. Get all dressed up and go out for some cocktails. If you feel like splurging, have everyone chip in and rent a limousine and travel in style!
7. Go bowling, ice skating, or roller blading
8. Take a free decorating class at Pottery Barn or craft stores
9. Head to the beach, relax, and get tanned while catching up on life stories
